Fulbright Academy Alumni Leaders Weekend

Fulbright Alumni and representatives of the Academy's institutional members have the opportunity to learn, share and influence policy by participating in the Fulbright Academy's Alumni Leaders Weekend in Worcester, Massachusetts, on June 22-24, 2012 (Friday through Sunday). Worcester is 45-60 minutes from Boston, MA, or Providence, RI, and our host is Assumption College.

The Fulbright Academy has ten Affinity Groups. The June weekend focuses on the activities of two groups -- the Entrepreneurs Group and the Global Health Group.

Friday-only registration is $25 member/ $35 non-member.
The program is open to all - alumni, current grantees, hosts and friends of the Fulbright Academy.
Each participant is responsible for his/her own travel expenses.
Registration for the weekend (Fri-Sun) $110 (or $60 for members).
This registration fee includes meals.
Accommodations are $60/night and must be prepaid.

Program in Worcester: June 22-24, 2012
* Friday 10 am: Board meeting (executive session - invitation only)
* Friday 3 pm: Keynote speaker on Entrepreneurship (to be announced)

* Friday 5:30 pm: Dinner for 50 hosted by the President of Assumption. Dr. Cesareo is a Fulbrighter.
* Saturday 8 am: Group run through the woods: 5K
* Saturday 11 am: Alumni Leaders discuss the role of alumni as catalysts for change.
* Saturday Evening: Cultural event (to be announced)
* Sunday 10 - 3: Science-oriented tour led by local Fulbright alumni

Our Host: Assumption College
Location: 500 Salisbury St, Worcester, MA

Accommodation: Two-bedroom Suites, with kitchen & living room.
Overnight guests are staying in one of the College's nicer dorms.
Rate: $60/night, including internet and access to the college recreation facilities. Free parking.

Getting there:
Worcester is 45-60 minutes from Boston or Providence, RI.
A shared van from Logan airport to the College is about $45 one way. We are working on a discount, but since parking at the College is free, it may be less expensive to rent a car. Carpooling will be arranged.

The Fulbright Academy is a membership organization.

Institutional members are universities, businesses and agencies. The dues for most institutions is $500/year.

Individual membership is given to alumni, hosts and friends of the Fulbright Academy. Members donate $40 to $1,000, based on their ability to contribute to the work of the Fulbright Academy.
